| despite the happy-sad feelings (is there the perfect word to describe this emotion? i'm so vocabulary challenged) i've often been having as munchkin outgrows his newborn clothes, i'm super excited to see him reach his big boy milestones. one that i'm looking forward to is when he can start to eat solids. just because i wanna make these cool pancakes with a turkey baster. and it'll promote literacy at an early age! :)

| so i thought pregnancy dreams ceased to be once one gives birth. apparently, i have even stranger postnatal dreams. here're a few dreams i've had in the past 3 weeks:
1. this guy in my dream was handing out brownies. yummy, right? well, he also offered my mom one and she took one (which is pretty unusual if you know my mom and her hatred for all things sweet). he watched her intently as she took her first bite and then started to burst out in laughter. and he started to dance and prance around, yelling that he'd wiped his poo on it.
2. one night, sam and i went to bed after a LONG day. it had probably been almost 48 hours since i really slept a wink so needless to say, i was kinda flustered and not quite myself. about 10 minutes into our sleep, i woke up and looked over at my peacefully sleeping husband. in a quiet but urgent voice i said, "honey, don't make any sudden movements. there's somebody at our window and the person won't stop knocking" (mind you it was 3:30am). i was going to suggest that we slyly call 9-1-1 with my cell which was within arm's reach. when sam realized what i'd said, he smiled at me and said "honey, go back to sleep. what you're hearing is the clicking noise our heating fan makes when it oscillates." ok fine, this wasn't a dream... more like the first and hopefully last episode of hallucination i've had in my life.
more to come...
